PROPER CARE


You should occasionally check your cooling fan as follows:

  1. Park the vehicle on level ground with the engine OFF, the parking brake engaged, and the transmission in PARK (for automatic) or REVERSE (for manual). Raise the hood.
  2. Visually inspect the cooling fan blades for damage, particularly cracks and chips.

    If only one blade is damaged, the entire fan must still be replaced.
  3. Replace the damaged fan by simply removing the mounting bolts from the water pump pulley. Remove the damaged fan and install the new one in the reverse manner. Close the hood.
